Warren Kenneth Worthington III, originally known as Angel was one of the original X-Men. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, he first appeared in X-Men (1963 series) #1. He originally possessed a pair of large feathered wings enabling him to fly.
