There's trouble on Paradize, a planet whose citizenry is fed up with its idyllic, utopian existence and decides that it's time for a change. The populace wants to embrace capitalism and industrialization. But Paradize's all-knowing and omnipotent ruler, Gawd, will have none of it. So the populace does what anyone would do: they put a contract on their supreme being...an assignment that's ideally suited for Lobo.
