A Vietnam vet, Rory grew up helping his father, a junk man, who discovered 2 million dollars in an old mattress -- the loot from an armored car heist. When the hoods came to get it, the killed his father using electricity to so he'd reveal where the money was. Using a costume of old rags he became Ragman, 'The Tatterdemalion of Justice.' Rory had gained the physical abilities of the electrocuted men -- the agility of a world class acrobat, the strength of a circus strongman and the fighting ability of a heavyweight boxer.
