Solarman comic books were written by Stan Lee. An aspiring comic book artist is given the power to become Solarman so he can save the earth from an alien overlord. The Solarman character created by David Oliphant first appeared in the Solarman: The Beginning (A Pendulum Illustrated Original) book from Pendulum Press in 1979. This comic was adapted from a Solarman TV cartoon pilot episode.
