Series: Captain and the Kids
The Katzenjammer Kids was an American comic strip created by Rudolph Dirks and Harold H. Knerr. After a series of legal battles, Dirks began a new strip, first titled Hans und Fritz and then The Captain and the Kids. It featured the same characters seen in The Katzenjammer Kids, which was continued by Knerr. The two separate versions of the strip competed with each other until 1979, when The Captain and the Kids ended its six-decade run in newspapers. In addition to the issues listed, there is a 50th Anniversary special and Summer and fall issue for 1948 and Four Color Comics #881.
