This 12-part mini-series was one of the top Marvel series of all time. Marvel's top heroes, and villains, are transported to an alien world, with the evil Beyonder forcing them to battle to satisfy his curiosity about earthlings. Issue #8 featured the first appearance of Spider-Man in his black uniform, which was biologically alive. The series was followed up in 1985 by "Secret Wars II".
