The Twelve comic book series was an anticipated 12-part series that got stalled for four years after issue #8, because its writer, J. Michael Straczynski got side-tracked on other projects. In the series, 12 secondary Marvel superheroes were kidnapped by the Nazis during World War II were put in cryonic suspended-animation until the present day, when a construction project in Berlin, uncovered them. The series explored the culture shock of people from the 1940s being revived in the present day.
