In 1991, Marvel launched this series, the second comic book with the title "X-Men". The original was X-Men (1963 series) which became Uncanny X-Men (19814 series). Then this series started at #1 and ended at #113 with the name chaning to "New X-Men". For this series, there are 5 covers for issue #1, each identified by the name of the character featured on the cover (the 'Deluxe' cover is on heavier card stock). The 4 other covers connect to form one composite painting.
